The National Genealogy Hall of Fame, a project of the National Genealogical Society, was established to honor genealogists deceased for five years or more who made significant and lasting contributions to the field. Since the Hall’s creation, approximately three-fourths of those honored have been Fellows of the American Society of Genealogists. Genealogists of all levels of expertise can draw inspiration and lessons from their example.

In the list below, FASGs are listed with the year of induction into the Hall of Fame, followed by the number each occupies in the list of all our Fellows. Members of the Hall of Fame are profiled with brief biographies and photographs at the NGS website.
