George Freeman Sanborn Jr., a native of Moultonborough, N.H., has been engaged in genealogy since the age of 15. Areas of expertise include research in New Hampshire, Prince Edward Island, Eastern Townships of Québec, and the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. A former teacher and government language translator in New Brunswick and Ontario, I work in both French and English, and do reasonably well in Scottish Gaelic. I was active in resurrecting The New Hampshire Genealogical Record, and served as its editor for several years. Now retired from 23 years at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, I live in Prince Edward Island where I am working simultaneously on several family genealogies of early P.E.I. settlers. I do not take private commissions.
